Development of VSV-G Smart Polymers for Lentivirus Quantification: from in silico modelling to application

Novel, high affinity ligands for VSV-G were rapidly generated and screened using proprietary in silico modelling and solid phase imprinting. Within 12 weeks of initial modelling, 3 novel polymers were produced and successfully used to quantify lentivirus titer using the Octet BLI from Sartorius.

Novel synthetic affinity reagents for lentivirus analytics and capture chromatography

Presented at The Bioprocessing Summit 2024

Synthetic VSV-G affinity ligands show functionality when integrated into lentivirus analytical and purification methods. Polymers successfully capture and release lentiviral surrogates under mild elution conditions, demonstrating their potential use in capture chromatography.

Developing new tools for rapid quantification of viral vectors – a proof of concept

Presented at Advanced Therapies 2024

Tozaro first realized the potential of rationally designed polymers for viral quantification and purification while working on gp120 (HIV virus envelope glycoprotein) in collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.  This was done using a combination of proprietary molecular modelling and a patented chemical synthesis process to generate novel gp120 specific polymers.

Affinity enrichment and femtomole detection of spike protein using smart polymers

This research poster LC-MS Detection of SARS-Cov2 Spike Protein using Smart Polymers emphasises the possibility of using smart polymers for viral purification.
